Opportunities Abroad

Georgetown offers excellent programs in Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes, Paris, Dijon, Poitiers, Nancy, and at universities in Belgium, French Canada and Francophone Africa.

Many of our programs require direct matriculation thus students must meet the overseas studies standards and guidelines established by the Department of French and Francophone Studies and the Office of Global Education.

The department also sponsors a six-week summer study program in Tours, France and a six-week summer politics and business program in Paris. While French majors are normally required to study in a French or Francophone university during their undergraduate years in the context of a one-semester, full-academic year, or intensive summer program, all qualified students are encouraged to take advantage of Georgetown’s study abroad opportunities.
